CHANGE, going with the FLOW, and expressing the ENERGY of LOVE, GRATITUDE, GIVING AND RECEIVING through your SIX SENSES brings about ABUNDANCE, ATTRACTION, AND MANIFESTATION - which require the BELIEF that THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS therefore you are the creator of your own reality so you must FOLLOW YOUR HEART because HAPPINESS is a CHOICE, and FEAR and CONTROL make you feel like your choices are limited. There is no such thing as COINCIDENCE. LESSONS and MESSAGES come to us all from one source. WE ARE ALL CONNECTED, you, me, and the UNIVERSE. This is MY SPIRITUAL PATH - which may be different from yours and that’s OK. That is the difference between SPIRITUALITY vs. RELIGION.
So when you make the CHOICE to let go of FEAR and CONTROL, allow CHANGE, FOLLOW YOUR HEART, practice GRATITUDE, GIVING AND RECEIVING, listen to the MESSAGES using all your SIX SENSES, learn from the LESSONS, ask for positive things and allow the ENERGY of the UNIVERSE to strengthen your BELIEF in ABUNDANCE, ATTRACTION, AND MANIFESTATION and that THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS, you will know that WE ARE ALL CONNECTED and it will be no COINCIDENCE that your deepest desires will come true and FLOW to you and you will have found HAPPINESS and know LOVE regardless of what MY SPIRITUAL PATH is or how I feel about SPIRITUALITY vs. RELIGION!

ONE THING, JUST ONE THING….
There are two things I want to share with you - one positive and one negative.
“One thing” makes a difference. “One thing” can have a huge effect on everything else, and you may never know the effect you made, just know - it was big.
A baby shore bird running down the beach made me laugh and cry at the same time. It will never know the effect it had on me. It doesn’t know I exist, yet because I witnessed this one action, this made me educate many people from all over the world about them, made me give hours of my time to observe and protect its habitat, the species and it’s future. It made me aid in having funds pledged to educate people about them and set up programs to protect them. This little baby bird had no idea the effect it had on me just by running along the shore!
“One thing” YOU do could have a huge effect on someone or something, that in turn affects something else - like a snowball rolling down hill, growing larger, gaining speed and power - the domino effect - the butterfly effect.
I am not asking you to commit to something every day. I am not asking you to try to change the world. I am asking you to do “one thing, just one thing”..
…hang a load of laundry outside to dry, just once
…turn the tap off while brushing your teeth, just once
…turn off the car while you are waiting for someone, just once
…pick up one piece of garbage off the street, just once
You don’t know who might see you, what someone might learn from watching you, what they might tell others they saw, what knowledge they pass along, what example you set, what discussion might develop, what choice someone might make, all because they noticed “one thing" you did.
A word of advice to those who choose to make a difference: It’s your choice, it’s not always someone else’s choice. What you think is so important could have little or no meaning to someone else and you will gain few to no supporters by telling people what they “should” do.
“Should” is a very powerful and negative word! It seems innocent enough.. practice it on someone around you…tell them what they “should” do and listen to the tone of your voice when you say the word. Take note of your facial expression and your gestures when you use “should”. The tone is accusing, eyes narrow a little, finger pointing or wagging? And the person you are telling…at what point did they stop listening? You “should”….blah blah blah!
You “expect” them to do what you “told” them they “should” do! At what point did they decide NOT to do what you want because you are trying to force your expectation on them?
Now, try to deliver that same message without the word “should”. There is likely no hostility in your voice, you are likely to get some kind of agreement. You might not get what you suggested but you will likely be heard. Your idea will likely be considered. They may choose to do what you suggested.
Imagine this conversation:
“You should do exactly what I just said if you want results”
“Well maybe I don’t want those results, maybe you should mind your own business! Maybe you should keep your opinions to yourself and don’t tell me what I should and shouldn’t do!”
Now imagine this conversation:
“If you try what I said about the word “should” you might get the results you are trying to achieve.”
“That could work” or “I’ll think about that” or “I’ll give it a try”
So, I am not telling you that you “should” do just one thing that has a positive effect, I am asking you to consider what doing just one thing can accomplish!!!!

I wrote this "Letter to the Editor" almost 4 years ago...
and no newspapers picked it up, so it just sat. I came across it just now, so here it is. Some of the info is out of date, but most of it still applies...
"This letter is for the People of Yarmouth and the Tri Counties,
It must be frustrating or even frightening for you to receive that letter that states you no longer have a doctor. I know. I got one of those letters once. I was very upset. I trusted this person, she cared for me, truly cared, she had my best interest at heart, and I felt that she had saved my life. I understood the reason she gave up her practice as a GP. She wanted to provide care for people who were critically ill. She didn’t want to bandage cuts, or burn off skin tags, or listen to smokers coughing, or watch people's health fail as they continued choosing unhealthy lifestyles - disregarding her advice. She wanted to help people who were truly sick.
And now, I am here, listening to stories from my friends about the doctors who have left, and are still leaving. “I got the letter”, I’ve heard some say. “Did you read what was posted in the hospital about services no longer offered there?”, I’ve heard some say.
I recently moved to Nova Scotia and feel quite fortunate that I've had good care from the health system here. I don't have a doctor, but I have gotten care when I needed it, and I'm very thankful for that.
I moved here from South America, where I lived for five years. I didn't have government paid health care like MSI or OHIP there. If I wanted to see a doctor, I paid for the visit, any tests and all medications. What that made me do was take care of and take responsibility for my own health. In many places there, if you had an accident or injury, you couldn't call an ambulance. There was none to come. You dealt with what happened, where you were, with what you had, and with whomever was there. It made me more careful, attentive and smart. It didn't stop me from doing things, it stopped me from doing foolish things.
How did I and how do I take care of my health? Through simple choices – that you can make too – to maintain or improve your health, such as: Healthy Food, Exercise, Fresh Air, Positive Thoughts, Sunshine, and Clean Water. Incredibly simple, yet we often overlook or discredit how simple it can be to live a healthy lifestyle.
Go to a class. There are plenty of people and places offering things such as Meditation, Tai Chi, Circles, Martial Arts, Hobbies and more. Go to a gym, go to the YMCA, try Yoga. There is an abundance of qualified yoga teachers, from many different styles, accommodating many different levels of experience, right here in Yarmouth!
As a newcomer to the Tri Counties, I am astonished at the number of Holistic Practitioners of Alternative Medicine there are in the area. RMTs (Registered Massage Therapists), RCRTs (Registered, Certified Reflexology Therapists), Osteopaths, Naturopaths, Acupuncturists, Chiropractors, Reiki Practitioners and Teachers, Nutritionalists, Therapeutic Touch Practitioners, Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioners, Aromatherapists, Theta Healers…just to name a few...
With all these natural healing modalities available, and the rapidly shrinking number of doctors, why don't we take our health back into our own hands? As it seems, more a matter of necessity now, than a matter of choice.
Generally, we know the unhealthy choices we make, and we may or may not know the reasons why we make those choices, but please consider that they are choices, and your lifestyle is one of those choices.
Reach out to one or more of the plentiful Holistic Practitioners in the area. (some are even covered by insurance!) Ask for their credentials. Ask what benefits they can provide for you and your health. Ask how they can help YOU take charge of your own health.
A stressful state is the opposite of a healing state. We are in either one or the other state at any given time. Fight and Flight (Sympathetic) or Rest and Repair (Parasympathetic). Stress and Anxiety keep us in Fight and Flight mode - and the body cannot switch to Rest and Repair mode to heal itself, while under stress. Do you have stress and have no doctor? Consult a local Holistic Practitioner. If you have a doctor, ask them about the benefits of reducing your stress through relaxation – which is one of the many benefits you can receive from most all Holistic Therapies.
Holistic means whole. It means looking at the mind, body and spirit as a whole unit - and treating it as such. A relaxing treatment puts the body in the Rest and Repair mode. Relaxation is only a part of most of these Holistic Therapies, but it is an incredibly important part. Your mental and emotional states affect your physical health. Period.
You may think you can't afford to go to any of these services or classes, but honestly ask yourself:
Can you afford not to?
Thank you for reading this letter,

GRATITUDE
This practice started for me a number of years ago.
I wanted my own mala bead necklace and I thought:
What a great idea to build my own mala, based on gratitude...and that was the beginning of this practice and workshops!
I got my supplies, then wrote out 108 things I was grateful for, then started building my mala, with those thoughts and feelings.
I had no idea how profound an experience this would be!
It took about 4 hours to string and tie 108 beads while feeling the gratitude each thing brought me.
Life changing!
Now, I want to share the basis of this incredible experience with you!
Try out this Gratitude Experiment and Challenge. It will be epic!
Enjoy this beautiful experience
It brings tears of joy!
Don't worry... Tears of joy don't hurt, they don't make your nose stuffy, & they don't make your eyes puffy!
These could be the most beautiful tears you've ever cried!
Download the 2 pdf files below, with the 108 lines and some brief guidelines - and get ready for possibly the best experience of your life!

Sacred Dance is an individual expression in dance. There is no choreography, no steps, and it’s not guided. It’s free movement. Its called Sacred Dance because the practice is sacred, the music and the lyrics are high vibrational, the space we create is safe, our bodies are respected, and our spirits are honoured. We are Sacred.
Whether done in a group setting or alone, we respect each other as if we are alone. We don’t talk to, dance with, or watch each other. We leave lots of physical and energetic space around ourselves and each other.
The music is carefully chosen to take us through a gentle start, build to a climax and wane back to a gentle finish. It incorporates music from around the world, some instrumental and some in different languages, to let you lose your self and find yourself all at the same time.
Sacred Dance brings physical, mental, and emotional healing, if you allow it to take you there. You control your level of participation.
You are in a sacred space where you are free from judgment, from yourself or others, free from competition - you will be in your own world. Dance like no one is watching because in Sacred Dance, no one IS watching. It is a personal and private dance. It’s a place to let go and be free.
You may want to have a mat or blanket available for the quieter moments when you go still. Start from a seated position and let your body guide you on what movements it wants to make. Lay, sit, contemplate, stretch, exercise, rock, writhe, tap, sway, dance, jump, leap, rejoice or anything in between. Let your body express itself in a safe, sacred way, in a safe, sacred space.
Create Sacred Space with any favourite items, tools, decorations, special clothing or jewellery, scents, candles, etc. - whatever makes the space feel special and designated.
Now we’ll set Sacred Space for our Sacred Dance.
Have a seat, get comfortable and relax. Start to notice your breath. Notice your heart. Notice your body.
Be aware of the space around you. Bring images of love, joy or gratitude to mind, then let those feelings fill your heart, let them fill your body, then let them fill the room, setting your sacred space.
Welcome your dance, and dance for you.
This is a part of you. It is an expression of you.

On Galileo's birthday (Feb. 15), a fitting day, I corrected a mistake I wrote in Spirituality For Simon.
On page xvii of the prologue, I wrote that Galileo invented the telescope, when actually he 'revolutionized' the telescope.
(Imagine! Everything that you look up on the internet isn't true!!!!)
A few minutes ago I finished re-reading Spirituality For Simon and I have to say I LOVE IT! Still!
The only other thing I'd change is the placement of a comma - haha!
If you haven't read it yet, get yourself a copy!
Its a fun, light read. You'll get a chance to laugh at me and laugh at yourself!
You'll also discover some simple ways to bring some peace and happiness into your life.
Who doesn't want that?
